MELASMA TREATMENTS

Melasma consists of the appearance of spots on the skin, being a type of hyperpigmentation that is difficult to treat. These are dark brown spots that usually appear symmetrically on both sides of the face. Both on the cheekbones, as well as on both sides of the nose, upper lip or forehead.

WHY DO THESE SPOTS APPEAR?

There are several causes, but the most frequent are:

- Genetic predisposition

- Hormonal factors

- Inflammatory factors

- Aging

- Solar radiation

- Taking photo sensitizing medication

- Exposure to chemical agents

HOW CAN WE TREAT MELASMA?

Melasma does not just disappear, so we will have to apply some kind of treatment to promote the disappearance of this type of spots and regulate the overproduction of pigment.

Before doing any treatment we will have to be diagnosed by a professional so that we choose the right option for our problem.

An option chosen by many professionals are peelings with compositions indicated for this type of spots, removing the pigment from the skin and add a regulatory action that maintains the overproduction of this pigment.
